Well, virtual memory is the total amount of memory of your PC:
it includes RAM (random access memory) – phisical memory
and Paging file – swap memory witch is stored on the hard drive.
To increase your virtual memory, buy more RAM or increase the paging file to at least 1.5 times the RAM ammount of memory.
So, if u have 512 mb of RAM, increase the paging file to at least 768 MB…it’s also recommended to move the paging file to another partition than the system one (c:\)
To do this :
Go to Start menu->control panel->(switch to classic view)->dobule click system->advanced->next to performance box is a button "settings"->advanced again->presss the button change
-now select c: and check "no paging file", press the set button
)
-select another partition (d:) and check custom size and input 768 for initial size and 768 for maximum
-press the set button again and then ok(3 times
-Restart
Now you have plenty of virtual memory….your computer will be faster now !
Cheers
Your RAM is low, just re-boot your computer.
You need to add more RAM. http://www.crucial.com will help.
Virtual memory is the part of your RAM and hard drive that your operating system (probably Windows) gives to programs to use.
If you’re low on virtual memory, you can increase its size.
Go to the control panel, then ‘System’. Go to the ‘Advanced’ tab, click Settings under ‘Performance Options’, then go to the new ‘Advanced’ tab. Find the virtual memory bit, and increase it.
Well, you need more memory or a high stick of memory in your computer! Plus, you might want to clean up the computer by deleting old internet files and the recycle bin and other things on the computer that you don’t need if there are any games delete all of them and then reload them.
And it just might be that the stick of memory is really low!
An imaginary memory area supported by some operating systems (for example, Windows but not DOS) in conjunction with the hardware. You can think of virtual memory as an alternate set of memory addresses. Programs use these virtual addresses rather than real addresses to store instructions and data. When the program is actually executed, the virtual addresses are converted into real memory addresses.

if you reboot i was told that that will not restore your ram you have to turn it of for a couple //
