It seems that the only adult programming available on DishNetwork Satellite TV is str8 oriented. All they have to offer in adult TV seems to be naked women. Is this a fact, or am I just not seeing the other choice.

hi there,

i´ve recently found some site that offer me satellite TV (even american TV) through Internet. They only charge about 25 bucks once so i get their software and free to watch satellite through internet as long as i want. they also don´t provide a full list of the channels they are providing. and the sites look more or less like wannabe real professional sites.
therefore i´m afraid that it is scam - can any1 confirm?
i´m talking about sites like

Considering satellite TV service?

Because my cable bill has become so high and the cable company regularly treats customer poorly, I am considering switching to satellite TV. Considering the range of features and companies that now offer it, what company and programming package should I go with to get the most bang for my buck?

How does FTA Satellite work? Is it too difficult?

I am shopping for a new satellite TV solution and don’t want to go through DirectTV or Dish Network. There are several FTA ‘dealers’ that have offered me their services.

Does this FTA (Free to Satellite) actually work? What are your experiences with it and is that going to become a big daily task to keep updating the satellite?

If you look at your on screen guide, you will find that included in your "Choice" package offered by DirecTV, you will find that you are getting a lot of channels that do not offer entertainment to most people. Just to name some of them: 40 shopping channels (many of them duplicates), 5 "Test" channels (those not in service), 28 "To Be Announced" channels (only available certain times of the year), 22 duplicate Game Lounge channels, 1 channel dedicated to ordering DirecTV’s magazine, 1 channel dedicated to ordering DirecTV’s program packages, 5 channels dedicated solely to the imposition of tax increases on satellite TV in different state (all of which are duplicate stations), 3 Pay Per View Preview channels, 3 duplicates of channel 101, one channel dedicated to an advertisement of DirecTV’s DVR and one channel dedicated to showing you how to operate DirecTV’s equipment. I live in a very remote area in Arizona where there is no cable and an antenna is blocked by mountains. The only way to have television service is by satellite, there isn’t any other form of entertainment except to shoot rattlesnakes, which do not come by constantly. No, the "Choice" package is not the consumer’s choice, it is DirecTV’s marketing department that chooses what you will watch (or not). My question is do you get what you pay for when you subscribe to DirecTV?

I want to get satellite TV, but every package looks like I have to buy a whole pile of crap just to get the handful of channels that I might actually want to watch. Of all the packages available on Direct TV and Dish Network, which package offers me the mathematically least amount of religious programming per dollar?

Looking for service to watch tv online?

I’m paying a month for cable tv. I’ve seen a couple sites that offer satellite tv online with 12,000 channels and thousands of movies for 12.99 a month. I can’t tell if those are worth it or not or as good as they look. What I want to be able to do is run a cable from my computer to my tv and watch tv from an online source on my tv. I want something that’s hd, doesn’t take time to load, and works well. Has anyone had any experience with any of these type of sites and knows if they work well or not? Anyone have any recommendations?
You misunderstand me. I’m not looking for something free. I’m looking for a service that I can pay for like satellite tv on my computer. I am looking for reputable companies that offer these services for a cheaper price than cable.

How do I report/stop a telemarketer?

A company called Satellite Promotions keeps calling my office, offering satellite TV. Apparently they work for Dish network, and when you ask to be taken off of their call list, they hang up in your face. I read on the internet that the company is well known for doing this. I know this is illegal! How do I report them and stop these calls?? Please Help!

does satellite tv for your pc really work?

has anyone ever downloaded or brought any satellite tv for your pc software which is offered on the internet, offerring anywhere from 1,000 to 3,000 channels, and if so does it show a good picture or does it work like the crap you get on your cell (streaming clips every few seconds) or does it show like regular tv (satellite quality).

satellite tv signals?

Most companies now offer satellite tv connections. Very often i have heard that the images are DVD quality clear.
But is it true that when its very overcast/cloudy the connection stops?

Whats the reason for this?
(ofcourse i know that it might be because signals emitted from the satellite cant force its way through the thick layer of clouds- but i need a more scientific answer)
the connection doesnt stop but only becomes unclear, i guess.
I need precise reasons for this.

thanks

I've had an offer come through email for Satellite TV on my PC. It seems too good to be true, is it?
I am English but live in the US so the thought of being able to watch programmes form England is very enticing. Anybody know the scoop.
I'm nervous, I got taken by Vonage's free trial that ended up costing me over a 0. Anybody else tried this
Okay, did my own research, it's a scam. All they are selling is a search engine. Miss World must work for them!

I am in the process of wiring a room for satellite tv and the salesmen told me that I can't use the standard type F coaxial connectors. He indicated that I need to purchase special ones that handle a greater bandwidth. Is there any truth to this?

It's called Satellite TV to PC. The company charges .95 for the software. It gives you great movie demos to watch, but I am not sure this is someting to invest. My original search was for a means of burning movies from Satellite TV to my laptop. Any ideas on this as well?
