I already have internet service.
Im not really a gamer. Ill just be using it to surf the web and play online free no download games.
Its not going to cost over 580 and its new.

So am i better off getting the one with windows or linpus ?

I’m thinking about buying a new computer and i’m interested in buying a Mac but worried about compatibility issues and possibly other mishaps. To make it simple, i’m going to outline several things i’m going to be using it for.

1. Laptop
I’m going to college soon so it would nice to have something to carry around.

2. No gaming
i’m not using my computer for any gaming what so ever.

3.I have a budget of about 00 to 00

4. i’m getting interested in recording my own music (not seriously though) and a performance nut…so that means a lot of RAM, a decent audio card, and a good processor (Intel Dual Core 2.4-3.0 GHz would be good ..)

5. I’ll also be using this for school, so it would be nice if i didn’t have problems working with printers, USB, programs, formats, or other computers. Group projects are important!

6. Wireless internet would be nice.

7. Is there a way for me to record my lectures in class? maybe a built-in camera i can flip around? or any accessories?

8. Good battery life…enough to get through a day of lectures and maybe a little more

9. I prefer windows just because it would work with more programs but I heard about good things about the Boot Camp thing Mac has. Is it any good?

I’m a college student who just started majoring in Computer Information System. I’m planing to buy a laptop to make, edit animated movie videos on the go, download music videos, designing web pages and completing my day-to-day college assignments. I found this laptop which I believe it would fits my needs fully except for the graphic card which I’m not so sure about. Now, I’m don’t know from what brand*mcafee, norton…) should I buy the protection from (including anti virus, firewall, spyware and blah blah blah.) Please let me know your suggestions regard to this laptop and regard to what antivirus, firewall, spyware works very well for you. Please suggest other protection that are not free (lets just say that I have bad experiences with those free protection such as avg, avast, spybot.
