I need help with advertising my new company www.directspace.net Dedicated Servers and Web Hosting. Any advice please reply.

i am so tired of being screwed over by people saying this and that and chargeing an arm and leg i just want to set up my web sites a video hosting site and be on my merry way and be happy but host make it so hard so i come and ask if any one can please work with me i have no money now thanks to host screwing me up

I am considering starting a website that will keep all kinds of information about bars and restaurants in my city. There will probably be 200 or so places with reviews about all of them that users can post along with updates of things that are going on and each place on any given night that the bar owners can update. The front page will have a "whats going on this weekend" section and maybe a "bar of the month" or "drink of the week" along with 3 or 4 ads from local bars or businesses. I’m hoping to get 1000+ hits per day and maybe considerably more. What TYPE of web host do I need? if you recommend a web host please dont just list some place you are affiliated with. I need unbiased information.

Does this mean that I can purchase different domains to point to different sections of the same web space? Of, course all those different domains would have to have different IP addresses. This way Google doesn’t complain when I link all my sites which reside on the same web space.

I am designing a data driven website. And to host the website, i need to know which is the best company which will offer a "Dedicated sever" of space 5 GB and better security to my database contents.

I am about to start a web design company which extends services to small/medium firms. I am not sure if I should resell the hosting to my clientele or build the site and allow the company to manage the hosting themselves.

Most hosting companies offer Dedicated server but does not offer to setup the server. I need to find an excellent hosting company offering dedicated server and charge for setup. the type of setup that i am seeking is installing webmail application such as outlook web access or Mail Enable and and maintaining the same database for the members of a each website with the email and the board or chat. The goal is to have many websites and domains on same server and have the members of each website login only once for the website and the webmail and the forum etc. same password for website, webmail, forum, chat

I’m looking for a host for my one domain name. I’d like a dedicated IP, but not 100% necessary.
Under 6$/month would be nice.

Last night Photobucket.com DNS at register.com was hacked by malicious people that are trying to compromise our business! We are in no way affiliated with such bad deeds and cooperate with photobucket in capturing these individuals. They have pointed the domain photobucket.com to an account hosted on our systems! We have blocked that and photobucked techs have restored the domain pointing to its original location!ALL account information and pictures on photobucket.com are OK, please have patience!Unfortunately the complete DNS replication usually takes 24-48 hours and during this time caches DNS records might still point to us!
The normal operation of Photobucket is restored and as soon as the replication is complete there should be no further such issues!We would like to emphasize that we are in now way responsible for what happens with photobucket and all users bumping across our systems…"

something tells me that shared hosting will not work for this…but would reseller, VPS, or a dedicated server be able to do this?

These sites won’t be receiving tons and tons of traffic, but each site will be hopefully be bringing in 10-100 visitors per day.

As soon as I started asking about how to add new domains, they changed the help screen in my cpanel (no more manage domains button) and they don’t reply to my emails. Im going to be hosting a dedicated server onf of my other PC’s. I will be hosting php based scripts and applications, does anyone recommend any programs for hosting such? When I use Apache or Abyss Web Server it always makes me download the script, not view it.

I have searched all over the internet for the absolute best offer.

I’m looking for a place to host my application.
It’s not a standard "web hosting", but I have a program that I need to run 24/7 - connected to the internet of course and all the shabang.
My program runs on XP64bit (not supporting server environments so far) and it needs to be on a dedicated managed server/computer which I can install any program I want (my program is actually several programs running together). Of course I need to be able to remote desktop to the computer and transfer files onto it, it needs to be secured, fast and reliable.
Oh yeah, I’m on a budget….
ANY IDEAS WHERE TO START?
I tried looking in google and similar, but all full of ads and I don’t know what to pick.
