I’m building a PC, and I had everything budgeted out: components, accessories, etc. However, I was counting on using a Linksys USB wireless adapter in order to access my wireless internet. The issue is, the adapter I have is a wireless-B but I need a wireless-G. I’d rather not have to buy a new one, simply because I need extra space in my budget in case a component doesn’t work or I suddenly need something else. So my question is, is there any way I can connect my future desktop computer to my laptop via Ethernet and piggyback off of my laptop’s wireless?

My Fiance’ is in Afghanistan and they don’t have computers there to use, only internet access. I want to send him a laptop and want to know if there are any additional accessories or programs he would need to access the internet. I could ask him, but it’s a surprise! : )

This game keeps me happy all the time. I play it a lot especially when I am depressed or angry. I have nothing else better to do. And right now It’s my exams and well I have already studied and I know I am not allowed to play, but since I could not play I either read reviews about the game or look at pictures or videos about the game. I have a Kodak Z700 and it eats thru batteries… I am not talking about the disposable kind. I have "Kodak Rechargeable Digital Camera Batteries 2100mAh" Ni-MH AA HR6 1.2V I fully charge these on the charger and when I put them in it is only a short while before I get the low battery indicator on my LCD screen. The camera does not shut down immediately, but that low battery signal will stay on. This drives me crazy because I thought these batteries were specifically for digital cameras! I want to know which kind of rechargeables last the longest so I don’t go out and buy a whole new set with charger and get the same problem.

Hi i want to set up a web site using adobe dreamweaver, how do i publish it to the internet? also can i host the site myself and if so how? or do i need to pay to have a dedicated server to host my website as i would prefer not to pay a monthly subscription.

I don’t understand the workings of my camera. I have the small cartridge disk, but when I place it into my laptop—it’s registered as a foreign object. Also, I’m not sure if I’m missing some accessories…do I need a cord or is there a certain area in the computer to access for the camera? Thanks!!

Looking at 32" Sanyo LCD tv. Have satellite hookup at home. Can I just buy the TV as is, in the box without buying special additional cables and equipment, and plug it in and attach existing satellite cable?

I bought this Vivitar Mini Digital Camera for at CVS the other day. It has two buttons, the "Snap" button and the Mode button. I put the battery in and it turns on. I can take up to 20 pictures, and then it stops. I installed the driver and the program works fine uploading them. However, the Mode button does not work and so I cannot use the Video or Web Cam options and I cannot delete photos from the camera without having to take the battery out and put it back in after 5 seconds.

I’ve tried a number of button combinations, holding the Mode button down, pressing the top and bottom buttons together, it’s of no use.

I Googled Vivitar and found their website, the model number is not listed in their technical support, but I found a form to fill out and emailed them asking for help. I don’t really expect a reply.

I Googled the camera and found that the very same camera has been sold under Philips, Bell & Howell, and Innovage.

I’m getting a custom laptop from Q2 designs. I upgraded most of the choices, but it’s getting kind of pricey. The only thing I’m concerned about is if the processor will work fine.

It’ll be used for regular internet browsing and stuff like that. The biggest thing that I would run on it, which is one reason I’m curious if the processor is good enough is World Of Warcraft.

Just ordered a Dell mini10v for my wife. I can not determine from list of componets if it has this reader. Dell did suggest an 8gb card as accessory.
Would a class 4 or 6 card access as fast as RAM? Any noticeable drawbacks?

It was installed by the computer and it appears in Device manager. It just doesnt appear on My Computer.

my HDTV has a 4 pin s video input.
i have a cable thats similar to the first link and i tried using in the HD component slots (RGB) but i get different single colors instead of 32 bits (ex. pink color, blue, black and white). i tried experimenting with the wires but no luck. all i can do is plug the green wire into a SD yellow color slot to get full colors but the letters are blurry. but when i play movies, the quality is excellent, but playing games is not that great as in my laptops screen. i also tried messing around with my video cards settings for TV, still no luck of getting rid of the blurriness on letters.

I would like to access e-mails to my web site so that I can put them into a database and parse them -without recieving them on the client side.

Or, what is the procedure for accessing the mail server to proccess the e-mail recieved to my web site?

At the moment I have a very cheaply hosted web site wherein I am sharing a server? Would it mean a dedicated web server and mail server?

I am not a technical person, so apologies if the question is not framed appropraitely. I would be outsourcing the work to professional programmers and I am trying to frame the problem.
